Brigitte Bardot earned her title of beauty icon, because of how she became known as one of the first sex symbols of the 1960's. She was a model, actress, and remains an animal welfare activist, all of which combine to increase her influence. Well known for her sultry looks, beehive hairstyle and makeup, her style still makes it into fashion and beauty looks of today.

Marilyn Monroe remains a beauty icon due to her success as an actress, model, singer, and her ever famous bleach blond hair and red lips. She was dedicated to her career and not one to hold back, teamed with her is bold sexy look, she was (and is) easily recognized worldwide.
