"I like creating images"

 -Kate Moss

There are a plethora of models that grace the covers and pages in magazines, ads, commercials, and all other marketing campaigns of the like; however, very few are able to influence society and become a household name. Kate Moss has managed to accomplish this and much more, including becoming known for more than her face and physique, but for her style.

Grungy, effortless, and attitude are just a few words that begin to describe this icon, but somehow these words that could be misconstrued as unkempt, become a thing of glamour when applied to Kate Moss. She manages to appear well dressed and unstressed when photographed, and even though it feels like we can't achieve this, the secret might just be a big dose of confidence. Regardless, we admire her for her fashion sense, and will continue to look to her for inspiration so long as her image exists.

A Touch of Light

'Tis the season to be jolly, and nothing makes you look happier, healthier, and more spirited than glowing skin! While it might be fun to experiment with glitter on your eyes, or maybe a sparkly lipgloss, a discoball face is not the most natural of looks. However, you can achieve a "lit from within" look with the help of some highlighter tastefully applied on the high points of the face: mainly the cheekbones and a tiny bit down the bridge of the nose .

They come in a range of shades, which is good when it comes to choosing the one that best compliments your skin tone. Starting from the silvery pearl shades to the deep coppery ones, there is one for everyone. So if you would love to get your glow on, stay tuned!

For fair or light skinned beauties with pink undertones, this liquid highlighter by Benefit might be ideal

If you have light skin with golden undertones, Nars Albatross would be a great option

MAC Cream Color Base in Shell is flattering for medium-tan skin with pink undertones

Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer #10 would be a great highlighter for those with golden tan or olive skin tones

MAC Cream Color Base in Improper Copper is a lovely highlight for dark skin tones, because it has warm undertones and would not turn ashy on the skin

Royal Chic

It seems like the latest thing the media had been obsessed over is Kate Middleton's pregnancy, and why not? It is great news that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a little bundle of joy; however, we've decided to praise her not only for the latest news in her life, but for her amazing style.

Ladylike, chic, modern, and fashion forward: Kate manages to balance all of these components to create a style befitting of a princess. These characteristics only add to the fact that she is personable, and carries herself with grace. No wonder we love her so much!

Which Watch?

Accessories can be more than just fluff added onto an outfit, because utilized properly, they can help change the overall look how we are dressed. However, while the "world is your oyster" when it comes to the kinds of accessories you want to wear, there is one that should be in everyone's wardrobe. A watch.

Stay Hydrated!

Windy, snowy, foggy, anything that ends in "y", these are the words that are starting to describe weather around the country. Frosty the Snowman might be happy; however, with the weather taking a turn for the cold and dry, the telltale signs of dehydration are sure to follow. So tell dryness to hit the road, because we are going to help you keep it at bay! Below is a list of some of our favorite thirst quenchers.

#1 Water! It will always be your best friend, keeping you feeling good and glowing. Make sure to drink about half your body weight in ounces everyday, to really get the most benefits.

Daily Moisturizer: CeraVe SA Renewing Lotion is this year's "Allure Best of Beauty" winner for light body lotion, and applied daily, will keep skin soft and comfortable.

Body Butter: The Victoria's Secret "VS Fantasies" line of body butters is incredibly moisturizing, economical, and come in a variety of scents to please any nose. Perfect for those days when your skin is in need of some extra soothing hydration.

Baby Oil: It might sound funny, but Johnson's Baby Oil is a great moisturizer, especially when used immediately after showering. We recommend using it after showering at night, so that it has time to soak in, because it will leave a slight residue for the first few hours, but you will wake up to significantly softer skin. This one is in the shea & cocoa butter scent, but there are others to choose from.
Lip Balm: Keep one in your purse, backpack, car, etc. Essentially wherever you can get your hands on one, because drier weather means chapped lips, and the best way to get rid of them is to use a lip balm. Licking your lips is actually worse for them, because it causes evaporation which wicks away more moisture from the surface of this very sensitive part of the skin. Maybelline Baby Lips, is a great pick because it is cheap, and contains powerful moisturizers.

Facial Moisturizer: We didn't include a picture, because everyone's skin is different, and it really depends on what you want out of it; however, it is a very essential part of your cool weather skin regimen. Monitor your skin to see if your regular moisturizer is too light during the colder seasons.

Holiday Parties: What to Wear?

The holiday season is almost here, especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner, so it is soon going to be time for those all too famous holiday parties. Whether they're for your company, with your family, with your friends, etc. You want to walk in feeling confident and beautiful! That can mean wearing a cocktail dress, to wearing a beautiful pantsuit. Either way we'll show you some examples below, so that if you have no idea what you would wear, or you just want to see what we love for the season, you'll have some inspiration.

This Aidan Mattox dress would look beautiful on any shape, but would be especially flattering on someone with a pear shape.

Jessica Simpson is responsible for this gorgeous sequined sheath, that is expertly designed to give the illusion of an hourglass shape thanks to the black panels.

This Donna Ricco dress is flattering thanks to the detailing at the waist, and holiday appropriate in red satin.

Nothing says holidays better than shimmering gold, and you can capture the spirit of the holidays in this wrap dress by MICHAEL Michael Kors.

White House Black Market proves how you don't need to wear a dress to be festive, especially with their variety of jackets and dress pants. Simple on their own, but evening appropriate with a printed blouse, and jewelry, you could be just as stunning in a pantsuit this holiday season.
