Staying Warm: Fall 2012 Outerwear

Fall is approaching and we are all getting ready by prepping those coats for frequent wear. Since it is going to be chilly, and you're unlikely to show off any of those layers outside, having a coat that is warm, functional, and stylish is key. We put together a couple of our favorites, and we hope you like them. Stay warm beautiful!

Fall 2012 Hair

Ladies, the weather is still running hot, but it is going to start cooling down before we know it and we are all going to be making the trip to our hairstylist for that "fall change". We've put together a couple of photos that show what is in for Fall, so you have some options before you take the plunge and step into the salon.

If you opt for blonde, go lighter and icy (if it will complement your complexion) or lighter and ashy

Brunette? Go for a rich brown, like dark chocolate, and skip the caramel tones

If you don't want to change your hair color and are willing to cut some hair off, then a bob might be for you. Make sure to talk to your hairstylist so you get the cut that works for you!

Lastly, if you don't feel comfortable making a big change for fall, then just try a really popular runway look that requires no commitment. The Deep Side Part.

Fall 2012 Fashion Trends: Strappy Heels

Fashion week is the place to get all of your fall trend inspiration and insight, and one of the trends we picked up on was clicking away at the runway.

Heels are an essential part of any woman's wardrobe, and depending on the style, they can take a casual outfit from polished to trendy, demure to sexy, and every place in between. The ones we wanted to talk about today are strappy, and could easily get lumped into the trashy category were it not for the lack of a platform, and clever design.

Glamour featured this pair in an article (http://www.glamour.com/fashion/blogs/slaves-to-fashion/2012/09/the-high-heel-trend-that-was-a.html), and we love them too because they are just so gorgeous.

Guiseppe Zanotti is a genius when it comes to fashionable shoes, and these balance between a vixen like quality and chic design. As Glamour points out, they are on the very pricey end of the heel spectrum, but if bought, they would make a great investment piece that you could get lots of wear out of.

We are nothing if not relatable though, so since we can only dream about buying a pair of those shoes without breaking the bank, below are some alternatives that would look fabulous for less!

New York Fashion Week: Spring 2013 RTW (BCBG Max Azria)

Fashion Week has officially kicked off! It is time to start looking at what will be on trend for Spring, so that once we've worn our coats, boots, scarves, and jackets for all they can give in the Fall/Winter, we can go into the next season with a bang.

BCBG is simplifying the transition by having kept some of the elements of Fall/Winter gear, and adding them into the structural components of this season's garments. Azria has done this by including leather in bodices of some of his dresses.

We know what you're thinking, leather and lace? But surprisingly it works. The contrast of the ladylike, with the tough, come together harmoniously and add to the "femme fatale" look.

The collection wasn't just a one-note wonder though, because despite it having pieces that balanced leather and lace, it also had pieces that showed that pretty can be just as alluring.

This dress shows how this works, mostly due to the plunging neckline, cheery color, and tastefully revealing details.

Stay tuned for more Fashion Week looks!
